What a week for news. Whether it was ogling to the half sunken Italian cruise ship debacle, watching Newt broadside John King, the Supremes slapping the hands of Texas District Court Judges in their judicial activism in Texas Voting Districts, or maybe one of the best weekend of NFL conference football in memory (yes, football is political); this was a week to remember.

But, there were also some other minor headline news that, while not as dramatic, still pose some of the most interesting and thought provoking topics of our time and generations to come: The First Amendment and its impact on this generation.

While the current falling status of SOPA and PIPA fall under this topic, that will have to wait for another blog on another day.

A few years back when McCain-Feingold became law in 2002, it was the culmination of 8 years of work George Soros has started after the 1994 Congressional mid-terms put Republicans in charge of Congress for the first time in 40 plus years. The following excerpt from Discover the Networks.org laid out a very straightforward vision Soros had:

Most notably, the billionaire financier George Soros began promoting such legislation shortly after the 1994 midterm elections, when for the first time in nearly half a century, Republicans had won strong majorities in both houses of Congress. Political analysts at the time attributed the huge Republican gains in large part to the effectiveness of television advertising―most notably the “Harry and Louise” series where a fictional suburban couple exposed the many hidden, and distasteful, details of Hillary Clinton‘s proposals for a more socialized national health-care system. Indeed the 1994 election became, to a considerable degree, a referendum on this attempted government takeover of one-sixth of the U.S. economy―and on the Democratic President (Bill Clinton) who had tacitly endorsed it.

Soros was angry that such advertisements had proven to be capable of overriding the influence of the major print and broadcast news media, which, because they were overwhelmingly sympathetic to Democrat agendas, had given Hillary’s plan a great deal of free, positive publicity for months. Three weeks after the 1994 elections, Soros announced that he intended to “do something” about “the distortion of our electoral process by the excessive use of TV advertising.”2 That “something” would be campaign-finance reform.

Starting in 1994, Soros’s Open Society Institute (OSI) and a few other leftist foundations began bankrolling front groups and so-called “experts” whose aim was to persuade Congress to swallow the fiction that millions of Americans were clamoring for “campaign-finance reform.” This deceptive strategy was the brainchild of Sean Treglia, a former program officer with the Pew Charitable Trusts.3 Between 1994 and 2004, some $140 million of foundation cash was used to promote campaign-finance reform. Nearly 90 percent of this amount derived from just eight foundations, one of which was OSI, which contributed $12.6 million to the cause.4 Among the major recipients of these OSI funds were such pro-reform organizations as Common Cause ($625,000); Public Campaign ($1.3 million); Democracy 21 ($300,000); the Alliance For Better Campaigns ($650,000); the Center For Public Integrity ($1.7 million); the Center For Responsive Politics ($75,000); Public Citizen ($275,000); and the Brennan Center for Justice (more than $3.3 million).5

Ultimately, these efforts let to McCain-Feingold in 2002. For a review of this article in full (I HIGHLY suggest you read it), here is the link: http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/viewSubCategory.asp?id=456 . From the date this bill was placed into law, political freedom of speech was quashed against any view that was not supported by the liberal media. McCain-Feingold was laid for an ultimate goal – find legal determinations for anything that could be interpreted as “corporate” spending on political candidates. How far could that interpretation go? Let’s say you work for a corporation out of favor with the current political administration. That corporation pays you wages. Those wages, in turn, might be donated to the candidate of your choice. You see the path this could lead. Before you say “it would never happen” recall the liberties this administration has shredded since January 2009.

Not quite 8 years later in January 2010 and the Supremes knock the ball back towards free speech with the ruling on Citizens United Vs. The Federal Elections Commission. The 5/4 decision by the Higher Court threw Mc Cain-Feingold out along with another Michigan lawsuit from 1990 regarding corporate spending in campaigns. That opened the door for the now infamous “superpacs” that allow groups to spend donations from corporations, labor unions, and whatever happens to donate in unlimited amounts. That is subject to the candidate having no coordination or control over the pac. While the impact of the superpacs were limited in the 2010 Congressional mid-terms as lawyers were still feeling out the ruling implications, the 2012 General Election will have no such intimidation concerns. The Republican Presidential Primary has already seen large amounts being spent on candidates. With a pre-cursor of what Obama and the Democrats will be facing in the fall, cries of “unfair”, and “common voices will be drowned” are now starting to wash across the liberal spin machine.

As the whine across the liberal plains begin to spin, current Supreme Court Justice Anthony Scalia made a rather straightforward remark regarding the current political barrage of spending now and yet to come:

Scalia was asked about the decision during a presentation before the South Carolina Bar on Saturday, exactly two years after the court handed down the 5-4 decision in the case that led to the rise of Super PACs. They are outside groups affiliated with candidates that can take in unlimited contributions as long as they don’t directly coordinate with the candidate.

“I don’t care who is doing the speech — the more the merrier,” Scalia said. “People are not stupid. If they don’t like it, they’ll shut it off.”

The reality is that superpacs represent problems for both parties and all political ideologies. Money can and will drown out those without it. However, as Scalia points out, we all have the right (as well as the technology) to make the millions spent trivial if we simply turn off the ads. Other than the ads I have sought out, I have not see one yet that interfered or influenced me one iota. For those that still get their news from the newspaper or broadcast tv, you have a problem. For the rest of using alternative media, we have more than a fighting chance against superpac ads.

How do we know this? Well, take a look inside the numbers at what was spent in South Carolina.

Restore Our Future (Romney) spent $8.3 million
Make US Great Again (Perry) spent $4 million
Winning Our Future (Gingrich) spent $3.8 million
Endorse Liberty (Paul) spent $2.9 million
Our Destiny (Huntsman) spent $2.5 million

The reality is the primaries are watched, read, and researched by people actually involved in the process. Newt’s 12 point blowout underscores that. Now money does matter. It pays for team members, signs, and other grass roots work that is needed to win in any campaign. The debates are watched very carefully as well. John King did more for Newt than any superpac out there with his gaffe last Thursday.

Is it Freedom or Speech or Freedom to Spend? In reality, it is both. That is the good and bad of living in free societies.

Scalia is right. We are not stupid and not only can we turn the mother off; we can TIVO it as well.

I want that right to spend what I want on who and how I want to support. Even if that right gets exploited by slime and sometimes is a real stinkeroo.

I wonder what goes through the mind of the infected liberal policy wonks that truly think they can solve the ills of the world through the law. While certain injustices do deserve the attention of lawmakers – instances where discrimination occurs due to one’s religion, color, or sex, a question arises of whether one could (or should) work to legislate away physical inequities.

Now I am not referring to current laws regarding ADA for the truly physically handicapped, I am talking about the physical appearance (or lack thereof) from one person to another. The traits that make us unique as individuals. Let’s face it, some of God’s children have a few more physical assets than others, some are dealt with issues of extreme weight, poor health, etc. I label it under the category of “Life is not Fair”. You can just feel the hair start to stand on the necks of liberals right now…..

Our society has always fawned over physical beauty. It impacts how we view athlete’s ability to perform their sport for our favorite team, health aides are sold using ”beautiful” people, movie stars with more eye appeal get more of the big screen, etc. Currently, one Mitt Romney is leading the Republican Presidential Nominee field with the help of the fact he is a handsome lad and orates well. Were Romney uglier than a wombat with his legislative record, I would daresay he would not be in the field of contention.

And that is the very point that the Sensitivity Police are now moving to make law – that everyone who is not “beautiful” should be given a legal handicap to “equalize’ the playing field. Oh yes – you might want to grab some duct tape to keep your head from exploding. While the concept of giving everyone a fighting chance over looks or lack thereof, taking to the halls of Congress is getting a bit wacky.

This was brought to my attention today when I was solicited for a trade seminar on new insurance coverage to be offered to offset new laws in the area of “Appearance Discrimination”. What? Just saying the words made my mouth feel violated and I wanted to brush my teeth and tongue.. While I focus on energy and fuels now, I still have a role in our insurance operation and have to stay up to date. What I was sent to review was more than alarming – it was scary. Here is an excerpt of the article I was sent:

Last year, one of the largest banks in the U.S. was sued by a woman who claimed she was discriminated against because she was “too beautiful.”

In 2006, a group of Las Vegas cocktail waitresses sued a casino because of its policy against weight gain.

In 2009, an anonymous manager at a trendy clothing company alleged that the CEO personally reviewed photos of the entire sales staff and summarily fired anyone he deemed too unattractive to sell clothes.

Welcome to the brave new world of beauty bias law.

Some say that beauty bias is the last acceptable form of discrimination, but that might be changing. Studies now show that less attractive people suffer tangible, measurable disadvantages in the workplace, from being passed over in hiring and promotion to decreased pay, to being taken less seriously in all aspects of business. And now, the law is taking notice. One state and six counties and cities in the U.S. have instituted appearance discrimination laws, but lawsuits have been filed all over the country.

This webinar will look at current state and federal beauty bias laws and lawsuits and explore what businesses and organizations should know about appearance-based discrimination. Topics covered will include: how current discrimination laws may already address appearance, how existing beauty bias laws are working so far, and what you can learn from recent beauty bias cases.

Wait – you mean if my face can stop a clock and the weight scale screams “get off!” then I cannot be on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue??!!!

    No, not currently Broom Hilda.

At least not yet.

So what’s next – you can no longer choose your soul mate if they are pretty or buy items how and where you want because a pretty person MIGHT have influenced your decision or you might not choose to eat at an establishment because the human Seabiscut handling food sweats more than a fat cat in Chinatown? Is that a crime?

No, not yet…..

But it could be coming……

I can only think of 2 numerical years in the since World War II that have had more pressure on them then the year we are now in. George Orwell made 1984 the first year people observed with a jaded eye. For 1984 to have been realized, we would have had to have already been living in a totalitarian state by the time the date rolled around. While those that hated Ronald Reagan in the 80′s certainly may have thought such rubbish, none existed in the US or on a global scale during the point in time.

The next self created numeral calender year panic was 1999 leading up to the year 2000. We all can remember how the technical world was going to crash us back to the stone age when the clock struck midnight and 2000 rolled in. Computers would go on the fritz, ATM’s would start spitting out money, cats sleeping with dogs – you remember. As it all turned out, the world did not crash and burn.

Now we enter into 2012. It has already had plenty of publicity of the year it will be. Of course, we all know the Mayan calender ends on 12-21-2012 and many have prophesized about how it means the end of days. While this may be a year that is full of wierd stuff - it will not be the end of days. That wonderful movie 2012 had some neat special effects, but is otherwise one big pile of baloney.

What 2012 will be is one of the most tumultuous political years we will witness as a free nation. With a national and global economy in the tank, US debt at an all time high, and political activism on both sides of the aisle getting cranked up, this is certain to be a year in which all the stops are pulled out leading up to November 2012 and political change in the United States and our next President. For liberals, it is the reelection of Barry. He has been the answer to their dreams of what they percieve are the ills in America. For those that are ready to get the nation back on the path of the Constitution, it is the ousting of Obama that must be the crown jewel of what should be a very good year for conservatives.

2012 has political pressure being placed on it similar to years when the world was at war. The pressure of political polarization is at the root of the issue. It is not just the US that is politically polarized, but the entire globe. Those that have worked together on a global basis to bring a “One World Order” with forced socialism, economic manipulation, and taxes out the wazoo (of which Barry was the final puppet put in place) are seeing the first legitimate challenge to their power in 40 years by conservatives across the globe. Yes, friends, America is still seen as the Shining City on the hill. America is still viewed as the guardian of freedom and justice. If America is allowed to sink into the socialist mire and economic havoc that accompanies it, then the globe loses hope. The political defeat of Barack H Obama will not just spell freedom here in the US, but will ring throughout socialist catacombs around the globe.

The pressure 0n 2012 will be to keep the political process from sliding completely into the mud. Money will pour into this election from all over the globe funding efforts on both sides. The ads this year will most likely be the nastiest we will ever bear witness to because the stakes are high as ever. Obama is the last hope for communists and socialists in the US. Nature took FDR from them, Vietnam brought down LBJ, and Carter’s sheer incompetence ushered him out the door. Clinton was smart enough to recognize radical change to bring in commie agendas does not make for reelection campaign success. Clinton was never the liberal lion as President he would have been if his supporting cast in Congress had remained the same. So their hope is pinned on Barry. But Obama has been such a disaster on so many levels that the commies and socialists know this is their last chance in the US for a least a generation. They will pull out every trick in the bag to help keep him in office. Remember the Black Panthers in Philadelphia in 2008? Barry himself is a true, blue, socialist believer and will play this election out in stunning liberal colors. He will play the race card, class warfare, labor versus corporations, etc. Somewhere along the line a great big cast iron sink will be thrown out for effect.

While I have very little doubt of an Obama defeat in November, what scares me more is that I think he is ready for it. I think he has his eyes on a bigger prize. Barry is thinking global – literally. While he is a puppet, the man does have charisma and he is worshipped in parts of the globe. He will pour everything into this campaign to ensure some prize at the end of the game. Whether it is the US Presidency or something relating to the UN, EU or whatever gets created to satisfy his ego, Obama will win in the end. There are far too many communists and socialists around the world that see him as a global leader. They will not view a reelection defeat as a reason to not have him work for global socialism in another capacity.

So while I believe Barry will depart 1600 Pennsylvannia Ave this year, it is his next address that concerns me.

Hopefully, we will find some grace in all of the pressure.

For quite some period of time, we have seen the attempt at secularization of our great nation.Religious principles of Christian heritage that are clear in the Declaration of Independence and the signing ratification of the Constitution referencing the year of our Lord are inconvenient truths that the intellectuals have been working to erase since the ink dried on those mighty documents.

However, the attack on Christmas grows in effort and in stealth every year. As a boy, I never heard “Happy Holidays” – it was always Merry Christmas. Now I realize that there are other faiths that occupy our great nation and I give them the respect they deserve.

Now it is high time to give Christmas the respect our Lord deserves. It is a Federal Holiday because we are a Christian nation that recognizes and welcomes the religious freedom of others, but had the boldness at one time to place the nation’s heritage first and foremost – as it should be. December 25 in not known as “Holiday Day”, it is known as Christmas!

When Hanukkah is celebrated by our Americans of Jewish Faith, do we call it “Hebrew Holiday”?

When the those Americans of Muslim Faith observe the Hajj and their relatives pilgrimage to Mecca do we ask them to have a “Happy Muslim Day”

The answer to both, of course, is no. It would be silly and disrespectful.

So then why do we allow the birth of the Son of God to be desecrated in its celebration? I believe 2 reasons - One was a genuine attempt to appease the intellectual crowd and the other was a sheer loss of backbone to stand up to those that would literally eliminate any reference to Christ with Christmas. My friends – along with all the other political house cleaning that will be done over the next decade, we need to also focus on those who will help restore the religious heritage of this nation. Not to trample the rights of others to worship as they please or establish a state church, but a genuine defence of the heritage that this great nation was founded on.

So remember, be proud of our nations religious heritage in our Christian principles and our ability to embrace the religious choices of those who follow non-Christian dogma. It makes our nation great.

Jesus is the reason for the Season.

Have a very Merry Christmas and a blessed and prosperous New Year!

In the hectic, media crazy, 24/7 news reporting world we now live in, it is very hard for goofs and gaffes to go unnoticed. Spinning someones dirty laundry is big business in the media today. Political mishaps usually soar to the top of the news world. Watergate, Jimmy Carter giving away Panama Canal, Bush 41 puking on the Japanese – you get the picture.

In the liberal world of “Everyone is a winner and must get a ribbon” I started wondering why in blazes hadn’t the libs come up with something to ease the faux pauxes of everyday living. I mean, if you really screw up -I mean royally screw up, shouldn’t there be someone to there to wipe the tears and give an award for effort?

Then I remembered the Golden Crowbar Award….

The Golden Crowbar Award was invented by Waco Tea Party Activist Toby Marie Walker for some of the decisions coming from then Congressional District 17 Representative Chet Edwards for some of the less than wonderful votes Chet was making at the time. It was felt that Chet had his head, shall we say, rectally inserted and needed a crowbar to get it out. Thus the Golden Crowbar Award was invented.

So the question is now, should this be a weekly award? Monthly? Tough to say.

The reason I bring it up is that Barry O had one of the best Golden Crowbar Award moments known in political history this past week. When Iran figured out a way to trick our own spy drone to land completely intact, rather than have an airstrike ordered to destroy it (or even the threat of one), the Enlightened One thought his Muslim brothers would simply comply with his polite request to return the plane. Well, wasn’t that special!

“Uh, guys….umm, I know we were spying on you and all .. Umm. You know – that was a really cool trick you pulled on us there! By golly – you caught us with our pants down! Guys,umm.., I sure would appreciate it if you would just send that old thing back to us. Heck – I’ll pay the freight even!”

Of course, the laughter was so loud coming out of Iran that the sound waves were breaking windows all the way to the Mediterranean Sea.

But it gets better!

Then Barry declares the War in Iraq to be officially over and that the US is pulling out. He issues his warning to Iran:

“Umm, guys…. We going home now. Umm…. We need you guys to be nice and keep out of Iraq…OK? Er.. I mean You had BETTER stay out of Iran. Yeah…., that’s it”

Word has it this time, a few of the Mullahs actually passed out from laughing so hard.

So this week/month/year/century’s winner of the Golden Crowbar Award is none other than Barack H Obama.

Better use it soon – it is apparent that the air is a bit thin in your heads current position.

When Herman Cain suspended his campaign for the Republican Presidential Nomination, he fell to one of the oldest, unwritten standards of politics known to man. It claimed yet another careless victim. I am referring to The Fidelity Standard. He is not the first and certainly will not be the last.

It is a shame. I am not saying Cain was my guy, but he had some good ideas and a good business background of success that our nation would benefit from.

Not every politician has folded under The Fidelity Standard, most notably former President Bill Clinton. Everyone knows what happened with Clinton and then intern Monica Lewinsky and the fact Clinton lied and obstructed justice. Clinton proved to have too much teflon coating on his demeanor and overcame an Impeachment Proceeding by the House and was never convicted in the Senate. Clinton had fidelity issues before coming to the White House and kept his wandering ways via Lewinsky and God only knows who else, but evaded the crucible Cain just went through.

Here is a quick list of some notable political falls from grace from The Fidelity Standard:

Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger – Even though “nannygate” and his love child came after his gubernatorial stint, it pretty well cooked Arnold’s goose for any future Congressional bids. Pardon the pun, but his political career may have been terminated because of his infidelity.

Former US Senator, Democrat Vice Presidential Nominee, and Democrat Presidential Candidate John Edwards – Another politician with a “love child” on the side. In Edwards case, his was even more bizarre than most, as it appeared to have occurred during his bid for the 2008 Democratic Presidential Nomination. Oh, and the fact his now deceased wife Elizabeth was suffering from cancer at the time has to place him at the top of the Infidelity Cad List.

Former New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey – This one had more than a weird twist when McGreevey, married to a very beautiful wife and father to a daughter between them, confessed to a relationship with a man during his tenure as governor. I found it disgusting that his now ex-wife, Dina Matos, had to be by his side when he told the world he was gay. In my opinion, that is one press conference she should have missed. Needless to say, McGreevey has been off the political radar since.

Former New York Attorney General and Governor Elliot Spitzer – I have to confess to this being a personal positive experience for me. Spitzer made a name for himslef bringing the question of how much insurance companies paid in commissions and bonuses and whether or not these payments impacted what clients paid in insurance. I watched what Spitzer did to the insurance industry. He cost carriers and policyholders billions through his witch-hunt. Everyone of us pay more for policies today for added paperwork and disclosures as a results of the lawsuits Spitzer drug the industry through in legal bills. Did it lower your premiums? Not one penny. When he became Governor of New York in 2006, he was touted as the next potential Democratic Presidential Contender. Problem with Elliot was he had a double standard. He would throw you in the pokey for playing with prostitutes, but his little habit was OK as long as he could keep it quiet. Elliot had expensive tastes in hookers because he was transferring large amounts of cash to pay for his fun. So much cash, in fact, that he was nailed for violating Federal Anti-Money Laundering laws! Like Mc Greevey from New Jersey, this scumbag had his wife by his side during his resignation. While he is out of politics, he has resurfaced in political television. Gag…

Former US Senator and Democratic Presidential Candidate Gary Hart – Hart made news in 1987 during his announcement for candidacy for the 1988 Democratic Presidential Nomination . Hart had rumors floating around him of infidelity right after his announcement; literally. Hart was already being investigated by two Miami Herald reporters for infidelity prior to his announcement. To make matters worse, Hart challenged the press corp to follow him and verify he was clean. Problem was Hart was anything but clean and stories of Rice being as Hart’s DC home surfaced days after his press corp challenge. Less than a month later, the now infamous pictures of Rice sitting on Hart’s lap aboard the Monkeybusiness (aptly named) made the front page of the National Enquirier and Hart was out of the race.

Here are the real questions – does the fidelity of a candidate really impact their ability to govern? If a candidate came right out and confessed of a prior affair going into a campaign, how would they be judged? Are public servants incapable of having private lives that mean they can and will have some gaffes from time to time?

Did Herman Cain leave the race for the right reason?

Whatever the answers may be, one thing is certain: if you plan on applying to campaign for any form of public office, you had best be sure your pants were on in all the right places.

In 1938, writer Ayn Rand published her novella Anthem, a futuristic look into society when the world is ruled by the few through the use of socialism, collectivism, and control through economic rule. Advancement of technology is carefully planned and released on a pace to control society. Individualism has been eradicated through the outlaw (and punishable by death) of such forbidden words as “I” or “ego”. The World Council is the final authority.

The key characters do not have names, but descriptions and numbers. Equality 7-2521 is the main character and is working as a sweeper due to assignment from the Council of Vocations as opposed to his natural talents of math and science. During a break he discovers a tunnel to a place from unmentionable times and discovers a lightbulb and electricity. Taking the discovery to the World Council, he questions the world of Anthem. He has to escape through the tunnel to save his hide and eventually claims an individual name of Prometheus and thus the struggle to regain the loss of freedom begin.

Their have been many artistic visions, good and bad, of One World Order. The Star Trek series was based upon galactic unity. The movie Bicentennial Man references a benevolent “World Senate” to have the status of the main character, a robot, be recognized as human. However, we have also seen the rebellion against the collective. Anyone who doubts that Star Wars is not about rebelling against the centralization of power is sniffing glue. The rock band RUSH put out an album in 1976 called 2112 that was a direct statement against the forces of collectivism and the debasement of individualism. That album references the writings of Rand and any metal head (yours truly included) that has listened to Side 1 of 2112 knows the story of the individual against the Priests. Anthem is almost mandatory reading for the modern conservative that needs a blueprint of what can come.

Remember that Rand wrote this as the world was coming out of the Great Depression and into the clutches of WWII. Hitler was on the rise and we all know the brainwashing and damage that bastard did. Somehow people forget that Hitler did not conquer to get his power – it was given to him in an attempt at the Puppet Masters to control the marionette on the grand stage. Problem was that it backfired.

Now why drudge all of this up? Well, frankly, Obama scares the crap out of me and I see wheels in motion to speed up an Anthemic State. We have all witnessed his shredding of the Constitution since he has become POTUS. Obama knows he is toast next November unless some form of orchestrated event allows him to declare martial law to avoid elections. The Occupy Wall Street/Whatever Street that makes money is an attempt by the losers of society that could never make it in a competitive environment to begin a cycle of disruption. They hope this will lead to Barry to declare the US state of capitalism over and decree a universal “fairness doctrine” these losers need. If you think this sounds far-fetched, go back and look at the Obama record. Read through Obamacare and see how it ties the medical industry to government doctrines or parity and collective ideals. Look at how Obama slides into the social leaders in the EU (failing though they may be) at how the bright and beautiful must care for the ignorant and ugly.

What truly bothers me are the unwitting sheep that follow Obama like sacrifices at the altar. They have not a clue that he will roast them where they stand if it serves his purpose – to sell out all American sovereignty and have us be puppets in the One World Club.

Strap on your armor my friends – the next 12 months is going to get bumpy.

Having spent the last week in Vienna on business, I got to be smack in the middle of the Euro Zone Meltdown over the Greek Debt issue. Greek Prime Minister Papandreou was up to his eyeballs in social spending debt now worthy of Greek Mythology. With uncertainty of whether Greece would remain in the Euro, the financial markets all over the globe took a tumble. Now Papandreou will be losing his job and the guy looking to taking his place, Lucas Papademos, has been his financial advisor for several years. So, the guy that will replace the leader has been at the head of the financial train of ruin. How does that apple taste? Sounds similar to how the US political parties recycle people from one position to another.

Then the Euro debt hammer came down in Italy and Italian leader Berlusconi has agreed to step down because of his social spending spree that is about to sink Rome for the second time.

While the common theme of frustrated voters casting out leaders is consistent here, so is the fact that Europe has went overboard with socialism to keep the people docile and out of combat conflicts around the world. The EU is known as a social zone, not a military power. There is also one other very scary little fact that is overlooked in all of the crisis in the EU- Barry Obama being part of the leadership group of the G20 nudging these “overspenders” out.

Oh yes, the same tax and spend liberal we know and despise here in the US is apparently a lightweight by European standards when it comes to social debt spending to enslave the people. As such, he is considered a “fiscal conservative” (easy stomach…) and gets to be part of the hit squad on leadership. While Barry may indeed be the spendthrift in this group of the G20, he is observing how they have set up their entitlement system over the last 60 years and how it has kept those entitlement parties in power.

And Barry likes that very much….

Being the Grand Puppet on the world stage on the G20 is a heady rush Barry does not get back here in the States. He can stand beside French Primer Minister Sarkozy and nod his head about greater world taxes to help this “crisis” and there is no one there from the US Press to roast his flesh. That my friends is how he can them come back to the States and opine about how grand the social justice is around the world. How far behind the US is and the moves that he is making is just to bring us up to the level of civility that Europe has. What he should be saying is that the moves he is making is just to bring us up to the debt levels of Europe. He has no plans of stopping there should he get a second term at the helm of POTUS.

That, my friends, is just one reason why we do not want to get back to The Greek.

I don’t know about you, but I am sick to death of the current GOP Debate Drama. The sniping, “gotcha” questions, and the fact that no one can really talk about how they want to lead makes these formats old and busted. I had to take a week away from blogging to prevent my head from exploding over all the hogwash playing out in these “debates”. So today gentle musers, we are going to give some well needed advice to the GOP hopeful on what most conservatives really want to see.

This is an interview. You had best act like it or you will never get the job.
Since most of the people who will read this actually work at jobs or run small business, they have had the pleasure to interview or be interviewed for some form of position. I can assure you that no one ever got a job complaining about the last person they worked for or sniping at the person who opened the door to the interview. In an interview, you put on attire appropriate for the job, be sure to be clean and deodorized, and you talk about why you are the best for the position with your ideas, past track record, etc. In political terms this means TELL US WHAT IN BLAZES MAKES YOU THE MAN OR WOMAN WHO CAN LEAD THE FREE WORLD. We do not want catch phrases, we want a plan. Now for the political “consultants” who have these candidates flapping in the wind, that means:

1. Tell us about your background that in some order qualifies you to lead this great nation
2. Give specific examples of how your background addresses the leadership void that was created when BO stepped into office
3. Explain, in detail, what your Top 3 to 5 agenda topics are to help the nation including but not limited to:
a. How the agenda items pertains to current US needs
b. The potential Cost/Benefit analysis of the item (some good things can have unintended consequences)
c. How you plan on getting the proper Congressional support of said item/s
d. Your vision of how the item/s should be implemented
e. When you estimate the US to receive the planned results
4. Cut the negative nonsense. We have had enough.

That’s not too hard, is it?

It’s not a Debate – it is an organized Question & Answer session. Why are you participating?
I can see one or two of these forums, but 5??? These are not “debates” in the true fashion where the candidates can ask one another questions and converse over each others position on a topic. These so-called “debates” are nothing more than structured Q&A sessions designed to throw a candidate their weakest topic and see how they respond so the liberal beat writers have something to crucify them on. Period. If you want to know my real opinion on debates, keep this in mind – Barry Obama did not have the qualifications to deliver pizzas, but his “polish” and charm wooed the press and everyone from Joe College to Joe Six Pack and “debates” lead him to the position he currently soils daily. Just think about that every time you get a debate “winner”.

Stop the sniping and whining
With all due respect to Governors Perry and Romney – cut the nonsense and the jabs. We don’t want to see or hear it anymore. It’s not funny, entertaining, or educational. It’s petty and un-Presidential. To Congressmen Paul – there is no conspiracy theory against you. The libs hate you and you know this. If you feel your being discriminated against, don’t play the game, but stop whining. Nobody wants a whiner for POTUS – we already have one.

Show some real leadership – NOW!
Going back to the This is an Interview theme and the fact that no candidate can promote their ideas in a debate environment, why continue to participate in this farce? Get out of this three-ring circus and go promote your ideas and may the candidate with best ideas and plans for implementation win. Here is press release I hope to see soon from one of the GOP Hopeful -

Today I am announcing a new direction in my campaign for the Republican nomination for President of the United States. First, I want to apologize to the American People for allowing myself in getting caught up in the political hype of debates. I have allowed myself to criticize those whose only desire, as mine, is to restore America to the pinnacle of civilization that it deserves to be; to restore liberties and freedoms stolen under the Obama Administration and the liberal leadership of the 111th Congress; and lead our great nation forward into a brighter tomorrow. I want to apologize to those candidates that I have not shown the proper respect for their ideas on how to lead our great nation. Our goal as candidates share a common purpose in making Barack Obama a One Term President and all good ideas need to be embraced.

To show folks that I am the leader capable of being the next President of the United States, it is critical that I spend full-time talking to the American People about my ideas and plans for this great nation. To lay out and explain how I plan on improving our country in the following areas:
                                   Topic A
                                   Topic B
                                   Topic C
The reality is that I cannot promote my ideas on how to lead a nation in debate environments with controlled topics, limited talk time, and that do not allow the freedom to truly debate my competitors. As such, my campaign will not be participating in candidate debates any time in the near future. I need the time to meet the American people face to face to talk direct about my ideas and plans for implementation. I also need to be where I can listen to the American people and take in their thoughts, ideas, hopes, and dreams on make our great nation even better.

While this may not be the most expected move in a Presidential Nomination Campaign, I am not your every day establishment candidate.

And its time to prove it to the American People.

Sometimes you just have to sit back and take in the events in the country in a manner that won’t short-circuit your human hard drive. This past week has been one of the most eventful in quite some time, but the central theme has been consistent: jobs. Whether it was Barry’s Jobs bill, the protest at Wall Street over its impact on jobs in the economy, or the loss of Apple icon Steve Jobs – Americans are wanting and missing the jobs.

You have to start with a tribute to a man who made his last name a reality – Steve Jobs. Now I am not about to attempt to detail this man’s achievements over the past 30 years and the impact Apple has had on the world. There are others far better qualified for that list. However, is there anyone on the planet that does not know what an IPOD or IPAD are? While he was changing the way we communicate and operate with technology, Jobs created more than a few j-o-b-s along the way. Thank you Mr. Jobs.

Of course then we come around to people who have no j-o-b-s and are peod about it. While I am not certain of exactly who the organization is behind the protests when I see elitist slime who portray themselves as “the common man” like Michael Moore on hand, I do know that enough people are out of work and have been out of work long enough to just have a need to vent. Part of the anger is correctly directed – Wall Street did have a huge part in the financial collapse. Before the collapse, did anyone in Main Street America ever hear or have a concept of what “Mark to Market” or “Commercial Loan Default Swaps” were? Was Wall Street the beneficiary of TARP funds when it should have been allowed to melt down and then arise from the ashes as true capitalism is about? The only challenge with these protests is that they are forgetting a whole other laundry list of players that included land developers, home builders, home mortgage companies, etc. Why isn’t anyone parked outside the doors of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae protesting their part in the collapse? So you’ll have to pardon me if I look at these “protests” with a bit of a jaded eye. They should be complaining about the economy and a lack of jobs, but include more players in the protest. Oh, and one other thing – if a reporter comes to you and asks if you would take a job from a company you are protesting when you claim to be jobless and broke, the proper response is “Absolutely so I can help that company avoid these mistakes in the future.” When you claim to be too righteous to accept a job, you’re a piece of human plastic.

Then, of course, there is my favorite commie and Head Socialist in Charge Barry Obama. After 3 years as POTUS, with millions of j-o-b-s lost here in the US and the highest unemployment rate since the last great Democratic failure, he wants to push JOBS. If memory serves, people needed j-o-b-s when this person was elected to his current role. Rather than address that then, he and the 111th Congress loaded with his commie cohorts, decided it was better to pay off big labor, trial lawyers, and the other special interest groups that elected him. Remember the Lilly Ledbetter Bill that now allows employees an open door on going back and suing employers if they even think they were discriminated against? That bill will keep trial lawyers rolling for generations. Have you forgotten what Barry did with GM and Chrysler bond holders to pay off the unions? He saw that Cap and Trade was introduced and passed the House. That wonderful j-o-b killing bill scared the living daylights out of the nation of where utility rates are going to go if Barry has his way. While it has yet to pass the Senate, Barry’s minions over at the EPA are deciding to interpret their own version of Cap & Trade in the industrial & manufacturing sectors of the country. Let’s not forget about cranking up the Obamacare machine and its drag on employers hiring new employees. All of this and the Clueless One wonders why unemployment is high and nobody in Congress is taking his JOBS bill with any degree of seriousness.

Right now the nation needs more jobs – both of the likes of the ones that pay the bills and more creative genius’ like Steve Jobs.

A job(s)less society only keeps the federal government in power and the nation broke.

While that may be the communists plan for our nation, it was not the plan of our Founding Fathers or the divine guidance they received. While it will take time, new leadership, and rolling up our sleeves for the work ahead – our nation will recover from this period in time.

Until then, keep the antacids handy. It’s still over a year to election day.
